Mt Qingxiu Park (青秀山风景区)
Highlights
About 5km southeast of the city is Qingxiu Park which offers the tourist many relaxing and different scenery throughout the park. Upon entering the park, the visitor can see the beautiful manmade lakes and gardens which makes this park captivating. This magnificent park with its green scenery is well visited in spring, summer, autumn and winter. The trees, captivating flowers, rocks and 2 manmade lakes (Tianchi and Yaochi) provides enchanting sights. Other than walking, one can also hop on the park tram that goes to more distant locations round the park and to the highest pagoda in GuangXi. More than 1 million visitors come to Qingxiu Park yearly, making it a must-go tourist destination in Nanning.
Inside Qingxiu Park, there are various gardens like the Orchard Garden, Cycad Garden, Thailand Garden and many more.
Nanhu Lake Park (南湖公园)
Highlights
South Lake is a beautiful greenery park of over 200 acres with a beautiful lake. In the park, there are unique exhibits of bonsai, palm trees, orchid garden and tropical plants. With its quiet, tranquil and wide pedestrian walkway, this park is great for jogging and strolling. Boat rental is also available for cruising around while viewing the modern Nanning’s skyline

Detian Waterfall（德天瀑布)
Highlights
Detian Falls is about 200km west from Nanning requiring a three hour drive from the city center by car. It lies of the Sino-Vietnamese border. It is 100 meters wide and sixty meters deep, lying directly beside Vietnam’s Ban Gioc Falls. The two waterfalls with a combined width of 208meters, making it the second largest transnational waterfall after Niagara Falls. With waterfalls dropping about 40meters vertically surrounded by spectacular emerald karst hills, this makes an amazing sight for many.
Also, you can take take a ride on a bamboo raft that brings you close to experience the majestic waterfalls spray.

Car ride from Nanning is about 3 hours. Alternatively, at Nanning’s Langdong Bus station located at 80 Chaoyang Lu you can take the bus that goes to Detian Falls at 8.30am and return at 3pm. The bus ride is about 4 hours and cost RMB 75.

Daming Mountain 大明山
Daming Mountain 大明山 is 76 kilometres from Nanning city. It is known for its panoramic views and you will find plenty of spectacular and picturesque scenery for your photos. This mountain has many peaks with its highest at 1760 meters above sea levels. Visitors will need to take a 50 minutes bus trip up to the mountain top via meandering turns of this terrain. There are various viewing and photo-taking stops along the way to the top of the mountain where you see ranges of mountains peaks, steep valleys and infinity skylines.
One of the popular walking trail at the top of the mountain is the “Tour of Health Preservation” route. Health preservation is associated with health nursing which is important in maintaining life and extending longevity. The full walking route is about 1.5 kilometers which begins with the small stops “Autumn Bamboo Shoot” and ends with “Golden Tortoise Waterfall”. Visitors will be able to enjoy the fresh air with negative oxygen ions of up to 131,000 per cubic centimetres and could hear the songs of birds and cicadas. Stop at the platform for Health Preservation to take beautiful breathtaking mountain views.

Guangxi Science & Technology Museum
This attraction is located in Nanning and is adjacent to Guangxi National Square and Guangxi People’s Hall.
The main building exhibition has four levels. Guangxi Science and Technology Museum venues to “explore • Technology • Innovation” as its theme, appropriate scale, full-featured, the exhibition theme, great tech, high degree of audience participation.
There are three exhibition areas: “Inspiration and Exploration” (second floor), “Technology and Living” (third floor), and “Innovation and Prospect” (fourth floor). The temporary exhibition hall is located on the first floor of the main building with an area of about 2400m 2 . It mainly organizes short-term science and technology topics or hot topic exhibitions.
The second, third and fourth floors of the hall are permanent exhibition halls with an area of about 9,000 square meters.
The permanent science popularization exhibition hall on the second floor covers an area of about 3,200m 2. It displays exhibits that are suitable for children’s characteristics and physical and mental health, and allow children and parents to participate in interactive, scientific, and inspiring activities. Set up children’s playground, science exploration exhibition area.
The three-story permanent science popularization exhibition hall covers an area of about 3200m 2. It displays topics closely related to human survival, modern social life and sustainable development, and sets up exhibition areas for environmental survival, life and health, and information.
The four-story permanent science popularization exhibition hall covers an area of about 2600m 2 , showing major social issues and challenges facing Guangxi, making the public aware of the significance of building an innovative Guangxi and a sustainable and harmonious society, and setting up exhibition areas for challenging innovation and future prospects.

Yiling Cave 伊岭岩 (Yi Ling Yan)
Upon entrance to this tourist site, visitors are introduced to the Zhuang minority ethnic group culture, traditions and lifestyle. This include listening to a folksong which are often sang to express friendship and love. Also get to taste local snacks such as glutinous buns and rice and tea in a bamboo house. See unique items such as the first stone jar and and first stone roller of the Zhuang Minority.
The cave tour itself takes about 2 hours so be prepared to allocate sufficient time for this.

Minge Lake Scenic Spot 南宁民歌湖景区
This interesting tourist spot which includes the Minge Lake and South Lake of Nanning. Visitors can find many restaurants, entertainments places and pubs. Entertainment places includes the Modern Art Bar Street, Yemai Square and Minge Lake.
It is regarded as one of the most beautiful and scenic night spot in the city. You can see the symbolic Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center which is situated on the eastern side of Minge Lake.
It is also the place where the annual Nanning Folksong Festival is held typically in September.

People’s Park, Renmin Park 人民公园
What to see
The park has more than 200 species of rare trees, flowers, and tropical plants such as bird-nest ferns, philodendrons and heliconias. It surrounds the White Dragon Lake providing visitors a pleasant walk through the day.

Chaoyang Square
Chao Yang Square is a local shopping spot for many tourists as well as the locals.
Mingshu Expo Park (名树博览园)
Mingshu Expo Park is located in the beautiful Nanhu Lake. It is jointly built by the citizens and the Nanning Municipal Government.
Zhongshan Road Food Street (中山路美食街)
Guangxi Nanning Great Hall of the People, a smaller version of The Great Hall of the People which is a state building used for legislative and ceremonial activities by the government of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the ruling Communist Party of China.
The Nanning Great Hall of the People is also a popular attraction in the city frequented by tourists visiting the capital.
Guangxi Musuem of Nationalities

What to see
This museum provides visitors with the history and culture of the ethnic groups of Guangxi province. There are displays of wooden village houses, different traditional costumes, dresses and exhibits of exuberant festivals celebrated by these ethnic groups. The Bronze Drum exhibition hall displays a wide collection of over 300 ancient bronze drums that were used for wars, celebrations and other occasions.

Guangxi Provincial Museum
